“Pang-bata ‘yang bike mo ha,” someone told him. Mang Peter replied, “bata pa naman ako ha.”
He’s 75 years old.
His cute bike easily catches people’s attention, especially when you notice the additions on his handlebar: there’s a tamagotchi, a golden eagle and some tools.
“Galing pa ito sa America,” he proudly said.
He told us that this bicycle was given to him by the wife of an infamous businessman, his client in one of his carpentry jobs more than 10 years ago.
It might look difficult to ride but he said that he’s not having a hard time at all. The only improvement that he did with his bike was making the handlebar post taller. Well, that’s if you don’t count his trinkets.
“Kaya ako nag-bike kasi nagsawa ako sa sasakyan dahil ang traffic,” he said. “Ngayon for exercise at para dito sa kasukasuan ko.”
