Pugpog Biker’s Highland Cafe in Angat is almost perfect

If you’re into those typical touristy photos, you’ll be more interested in biking to this place. They got a swing for couples, a big flowery frame, a Japanese bike with a leafy backdrop and a prayer wall.

Pugpog Biker’s Highland Cafe, the new bike cafe in Angat, Bulacan is almost perfect: they got the perfect view and great coffee.

If you’ve been cycling around Bulacan, a place where there are lots of long flats and crazy town center traffic, a refreshing cup of coffee would probably be awesome in the middle of a bike ride. However, it’s a bit difficult to find a good cafe in this province.

That’s why it was awesome when we stumbled upon Pugpog Biker’s Highland Cafe along General Alejo Santos Avenue in Angat, Bulacan. Its entrance is very appealing, it seems like the wooden arc was telling us that there’s a picturesque view behind the bamboo walls and that their place is very instagrammable.

True enough, it was incredibly beautiful. The cafe gives its customers a scenic view of Norzagaray’s Pugpog River. It’s definitely a treat after a grueling ride on Bulacan roads with trucks and dust.

If you’re into those typical touristy photos, you’ll be more interested in biking to this place. They got a swing for couples, a big flowery frame, a Japanese bike with a leafy backdrop and a prayer wall. As for us, we’re just happy snapping the beautiful landscape of the river.

Pugpog Biker’s Highland Cafe is spacious too and you’ll not worry not getting a table. Cyclists can safely park their bicycles inside and no one’s judging even if you look like an exhausted person from the uphills of San Jose Del Monte or Doña Remedios Trinidad.

The coffee is awesome too. After trying many cafes in this province, we’ve finally found something that appealed to our taste buds. However, there was no art latte for some of our friends that day because the server must have had a hard time balancing because of the shop’s rocky pavement. The milk tea was so-so.

Another most important question is: how about the toilet? It’s amazing. It’s clean and we overheard from one cyclist that it’s poopable.

The cafe is just a few months old and we’re glad that it exists. While it still needs to improve in many aspects like reminding some of their staff to use kind words, Pugpog Biker’s Highland Cafe is really worth a stop. It would be awesome if they can give out free water too.

The next time we visit, we’ll definitely try their food. The cyclists next to us had Tapsilog and Carbonara which looked so delicious.
