Gary Paragas needs a mountain bike but he also wants a folding bicycle. He got both in one bike for seven thousand pesos only.
When Gary needed a new bicycle, he thought of buying another MTB because it is convenient and easy to use in rough roads. However, he thinks that it’s practical if he’ll get a foldie because he would like to bring his gear with him in his travels outside the city.
Thanks to the internet, he found a folding mountain bike.
“Nag-canvass muna ako online at nakakita ako na merong bine-benta sa Divisoria na 7,000 pesos lang. May mga mas mura pa pero ito ang nagustuhan ko,” he said.
So far, he’s not having any problems with it and is very much satisfied with its performance. We tried to carry it and it’s surprisingly light even though it’s big.
He emphasized that riding a bike is very useful to him especially when he’s commuting. He told us that he used to have a hard time going back home from work because of the state of our public transportation.
So why does he want a folding bike?
“Kaya folding ang kinuha ko kasi kapag magta-travel ako halimbawa papunta ng Tarlac o Bataan, pwede ko isakay sa bus,” he said. “Kasi takot din ako mag-biyahe sa highway, mahirap mapinahan ng mga sasakyan.”
His fears are valid and the folding mountain bike is just perfect for him to meet his cycling goals.
Gary told us that he’s excited for the travel restrictions to be eased so he can finally fold his bike and use it in the rocky roads of different Philippine provinces.
