Folding bike solves palengke problems

Marti Salva, a video editor from Quezon City, regularly uses public transportation to move around the city. When jeepneys stopped operations because of the pandemic, he decided to buy a folding bicycle. His main reason for getting a bike? He got tired walking going to and from the nearest market, which is 1 kilometer from his apartment.

He hopes that this new bike culture would inspire more Filipinos to realize that riding a bicycle is the better transportation option. He also hopes that the government would maintain the bike lanes even after this health crisis.

So what does he usually buy in the market? Tokwa and rice.
